Our waxing therapists at Gaynor Louise Beauty & Aesthetics have been specifically trained in all areas of waxing using two of the most prestigious waxing brands available. This allows us to carry out full body waxing including intimate waxes such as the Hollywood & the Brazilian, both safely and competently with the most up to date techniques.

 

Our waxing treatments our carried out using only the best products as always. We use non-strip wax for more sensitive areas such as the bikini, as it is cooler in temperature and does not attach to the skin. Strip wax is great for finer hairs such as legs.

 

Aside from the treatment itself there are two main things that our clients comment on, one being the cleanliness of our room, no dirty wax pots, flicks of wax or double-dipping going on here ! The room is thoroughly cleaned and inspected between each client. The other being how friendly our therapists are and how you very quickly feel at ease with us, no matter what waxing treatment you have booked in for.

 

Pre & Post Care

For the best results and most comfortable treatment we have a few tips for you follow before and after your waxing service.

 

Before your appointment

For a first time wax we need a minimum of 2-3 weeks hair growth from last shaving/hair removal cream/trimming. Your hair should be about the length of a grain of rice, much shorter and we will struggle to pick up all the hairs, much longer and it can be more uncomfortable and cause the odd hair to snap, resulting in ingrown hairs. Exfoliate your skin 24hrs before your appointment, to release any hairs just under the top layer of skin, so we can give you a super smooth finish!

 

After your appointment

Avoid tight fitting underwear/clothing for the rest of the day, heavy exercise and prolonged exposure to the sun if you’ve had facial waxing. Try not to keep touching the area, your hair follicles are left open for around 24hrs so we don’t want any bacteria getting near and causing little spots.

After 2-3 days you can begin to exfoliate 2-3 times a week and apply an oil free moisturiser every day from day 1, this helps to prevent ingrown hairs. We have a range of aftercare products such as exfoliator, exfoliating mitts, oil free moisturiser, ingrown hair serum and anti-regrowth products. We can explain what may be beneficial to you at your appointment and how/when to use them.

 

Lastly…..in the unlikely event that you have any irritability after your appointment please feel free to give us a call and ask to speak to your therapist with any concerns. She will be happy to have a chat with you and see if we can figure out what’s going on, and how to solve it.
